A New Zealand perspective
About Mangawhai Walking
Learn how Mangawhai Walking tests and ranks offshore online casinos, sportsbooks and crypto casinos for New Zealand players.
Mangawhai Walking is an independent New Zealand comparison site for offshore online casinos, sports betting sites and crypto casinos. We exist to answer one question honestly: which of the many sites that accept Kiwi players are actually worth your money?
What we do
New Zealand doesn't licence online casinos yet — that arrives with the Department of Internal Affairs regime around December 2026 — so every real-money site Kiwis use today is based offshore, and quality varies wildly. We open accounts, deposit our own funds in NZD or crypto, claim the bonuses, play, and request withdrawals, then rank each operator on payout speed, banking, bonus fairness, game range, licensing and support.
How we make money
Some links to operators are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up. It never changes our rankings, the bonuses you receive, or what we write — an operator cannot pay for a higher position, and we rank sites down (or leave them off) when they fail our payout and fairness tests.
Our editorial standards
- Every ranking is based on hands-on testing, not press releases.
- Bonus figures are checked against live operator data and dated; terms are shown, not hidden.
- We track NZ gambling law — the Online Casino Gambling Act 2026, the TAB's betting monopoly and IRD's tax treatment — and correct pages when the rules change.
- Responsible gambling resources appear on every page. We're an 18+ site.
