Hi to all our loyal supporters, walkers, hosts, leaders, guides, sponsors and many other helpers.

Our committee would like to thank you all for the long standing ongoing support you have given the Walking Weekend.
However It is time for a break.

The Mangawhai Walking Weekend is a hugely popular, very successful and well organised event, completely due to the amazing dedicated band of volunteers and hosts involved. Most of these generous people have been involved for many many years, they don’t require publicity or to be named, their only reward is helping our community!!

After our very successful weekend in March we have taken some time out to decide our future plans, and have made the decision to have a year off, so no event will be held in 2020.

Change is inevitable, especially after 20 years, time to regroup, refresh, refocus, renew, revisit and receive new fresh ideas.

Some long term trustees/committee members are standing down for a well deserved rest, and once a plan for 2021 is established I do hope all our hosts, leaders, guides, walkers etc will support and embrace the future of our very successful Walking Weekend.

If you would like to contribute to the shaping of the next Walking & Community event, please contact me at gordon.hosking@xtra.co.nz, or 0274586500.

Please keep an eye on our facebook page/website occasionally for any updates.

Kind regards, Gordon and the organising committee.
